‘I feel every one of my Tests’: James Slipper on the long and winding road to Wallabies record
Slipper set to become third most-capped Wallaby
Veteran prop closing in on George Smith's record
James Slipper will become just the third Wallaby to reach 120 Test caps when he runs out against Scotland on Sunday, an achievement he described as "pretty special".
The veteran prop is set to overtake Stephen Moore (120 caps) and sit behind only George Smith (111 caps) and Nathan Sharpe (116 caps) on the all-time list.
Slipper, who made his Wallabies debut in 2010, said he was "really proud" of his achievement.
"To be able to pull on the gold jersey 120 times is pretty special," he said.
"I feel every one of my Tests. It's a lot of hard work, a lot of sacrifice, but it's all worth it when you get to run out there and represent your country."
Slipper has been a key member of the Wallabies for over a decade, and has played in two Rugby World Cups.
He was part of the team that won the 2015 Rugby World Cup, and was also a member of the squad that reached the semi-finals in 2019.
Slipper said he was looking forward to playing in his 120th Test against Scotland.
"It's going to be a tough game, but we're confident we can get the win," he said.
"It would be a great way to celebrate my 120th Test."
