NWPD, RCMP, MAKE ARRESTS IN CONNECTION WITH LARGEST METH LAB BUST IN BRITISH COLUMBIA HISTORY
UPDATE: THREE INDIVIDUALS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AND CHARGED FOLLOWING THE LARGEST METHAMPHETAMINE LAB BUST IN BC HISTORY
On May 10, 2023, the New Westminster Police Department (NWPD) and Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) executed a search warrant at a residence in New Westminster, BC. During the search, police discovered and seized a large quantity of methamphetamine, chemicals, and equipment used to produce methamphetamine (meth).
This seizure is the largest meth lab bust in BC history, and one of the largest in Canada. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $7 million.
Three individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with this investigation. They are facing numerous charges, including production and trafficking of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime.
The NWPD and RCMP are continuing to investigate this matter. No further information is available at this time.
